[shadow=blue,left,300]Welcome to Hogwarts...[/shadow]
Alright, so you've sent in your pre-application and it's been accepted, what next? Well, I'll tell you. You need to make up your character profile. This will tell the other members of the board about your character, and you will be able to read other character's profiles.
First we're going to go over a couple rules about your characters before we create them. First of all, your character's identity, a very important thing. You may choose to have a character from the Harry Potter series and roleplay them. However, if you do this, you will be watched to make sure you stick to the character's already set personality and if you're not, the character will be taken from you and you'll be asked to make your own character. Sidenote: That's not very likely to happen if your posts are of decent content and length. Secondly, your character is not the superstrong legend of the people. Your character will have strengths and weaknesses. Anything else, I will explain during the explaination of the part of the profile. Continue, please.
Soo... Here we go!
Name - Well, obviously this is your character's name. First, middle and last if it is a character you've made up of your own. If it's a book character, then only give the middle name if it's been given in the book.
Age - Your character's age. Your character must be within 3 years of his or her year, meaning if your character is a first year, then he or she will be either 10, 11 or 12 years old and so forth. Please note that your character can only be younger if their birthday is later in the year (like, Sept, Oct, Nov or December type thing).
Birthday - When is your character's birthday? You are able to celebrate it once each term during the week that poses as the month in which your character's birthday would be.
Year - What year your character is in. It is preferrable that you start as a first year, but any year is open and avaliable. Any book characters Harry, Ron and Hermione's age will be sixth years.
House - Which house your character is in, unfortunately for you, this will be decided by an administrator or someone of status. You will however get a preferance by answering some questions later on. If you are playing a book character, then your house is already decided. Your house is decided by your answers to the questions, your personality, and the amount of room left in each house per the year you wish.
Wand - It's not the wizard that chooses the wand but the wand that chooses the wizard! What is your wand made from?
Blood Type - What is your character's blood type? If it's half and half, is it your character's mother or father who is of the muggle kind?
Physical Description - A descriptive physical analogy of your character. Include for sure, their height, weight, build, eye and hair color, and any identifying marks on their bodies.
Personality - A descriptive paragraph or so about the personality of your character. Their strengths and weaknesses, passions, habits, pet peeves, anything you think would be relevant to the behaviour of your character.
Biography - A descriptive biography of your character's life previous to now. Include the vital status of family members and any close family friends that may be relevent to your character's life. Also include one or more specific events in the character's life that may have assisted in creating a certain personality trait.
Credit Points - Credit points take up a whole different section of the rules to explain. Please proceed to that section once you're finished with this one.
Relationships - List any definite relationships that your character may have with other characters or NPCs.
Heart Rates - Heart rates are like a relationship meter, they measure the amount you like or dislike a person. This amount is represented by stars, the more stars, the more your character likes a person, the less, the more they dislike them. The lowest amount of stars is zero and the highest is ten.
Right now, Continue on to the Magic Credits section of the rules.
